The Public Health Research Grants (PHRG) Awards for 2019/20 were finalized and the results have been compiled.
The successful projects are listed below:
- The Investigation of Hyperglycemia Specific Circulating Non-Coding RNAs in Type-2 Diabetes, submitted by Dr. Muhammad Tariq (LUMS) and Dr. Rozina Arshad (SIDER, Shalamar Hospital)
- Understanding Pakistan’s Immunization Problem – A Transactional Approach (II), submitted by Dr. Sameen Mohsin Ali (LUMS)
- Job Analysis of Selected Hospital Managers and Health Care Professional In District Headquarter Hospitals, by Dr. Mohsin Bashir (LUMS), Ali Khan and Maha Rehman (NCRP, Fatima Memorial)
- Radiomics Guided Prediction of Multivessel Cardiac Disease in 3D Echocardiography, submitted by Dr. Hassan Mohy-uddin (LUMS)
We congratulate the successful teams heartily. The SHF PHRG Review Committee was highly impressed with the quality of these submissions and their clarity of thought.
We look forward to working closely with them, and supporting some of the excellent work that is emerging in Public Health and Medicine in Pakistan – we are privileged to be working with you all.
Due to the excellent submissions this year, the Committee requested the SHF to increase the total award amount for the year 2019/20.
The total Awarded amount has therefore totaled PKR 5 Million for this year.
All successful teams shall be receiving a Letter of Award via email over the next few days, and finalized contracts shall be mutually discussed and prepared.
